Nose Implant Infection Lead To Implant Removal Before Revision Rhinoplasty
Sharing a recent DCF Rhinoplasty case of mine— This patient experienced an infection in her nose from an implant from a primary rhinoplasty overseas. She had the implant removed and underwent a Revision Rhinoplasty a year after. See more photos, surgery information and quick transformation clip below.

About This Case On Realself
18-24 year old woman treated with:
- Revision DCF Rhinoplasty. Patient initially had primary rhinoplasty 4 years ago with a silicone implant. Patient developed an implant infection and had the implant removed in 2022. Patient underwent revision rhinoplasty with a DCF graft to rebuild her nasal bridge. Her nasal tip was reconstructed with a septal extension graft. Patient had extensive scar tissue which was removed as well.
- Results: Immediate.
